When Pain Isn’t Just Physical
/Understanding Feedback Loops, Energy and the Missing Piece in Healing
a protective blanket
I want to share a story that perfectly illustrates something I see again and again in my work.
It’s about pain.
But not the kind most people think.
This is Leslie’s story.
Leslie’s Aha Moment
Leslie is a beautiful soul.
She’s sensitive, intuitive and deeply aware of energy, even though she wouldn’t call herself a healer.
What she is, is someone who feels.
Other people’s emotions.
Their stress.
Their unspoken pain.
For years, Leslie experienced pain in her body that would come and go.
It didn’t follow a neat pattern.
There was no clear injury or obvious trigger.
Until one conversation changed everything.
As we talked, I asked her a simple question
“When do you notice the pain is at its worst?”
She paused.
Then it clicked.
The pain would flare after she had been around people.
Not during.
After.
That was her aha moment.
She suddenly realised that her system was wide open.
She was absorbing what wasn’t hers, carrying it and holding it in her body.
Her pain wasn’t a failure.
It was communication.
The Hidden Feedback Loop
This is where feedback loops come in.
A negative feedback loop often looks like this:
• Feeling pain or symptoms
• Pushing through
• Ignoring your own needs
• Criticising yourself for not coping better
• Creating more stress in the nervous system
The body hears that as threat.
When the nervous system is under threat, symptoms escalate.
A positive feedback loop, on the other hand, sounds very different:
• Noticing what’s happening
• Offering support instead of judgement
• Creating safety and steadiness
• Respecting your sensitivity rather than overriding it
When the nervous system feels supported, the body can finally exhale. That’s when healing begins.
Supporting Energy, Not Fighting the Body
Intuitively, I gave Leslie a remedy I had created some years ago, along with magnesium to support her nervous system physically.
There was no forcing.
No fixing.
Just support.
Not long after, she messaged me.
The pain had eased. But what struck her most was something else entirely.
She said she felt like she had a protective blanket around her.
Not closed off.
Not disconnected.
Just steady.
Held.
Supported.
That’s the power of working with the body and energy instead of against them.
Leslie didn’t need to toughen up.
She needed energetic boundaries.
She needed Grounding.
She needed Self-love at an energetic level.
Why Self Love Is Not Optional
Self love is often misunderstood.
It’s not indulgence.
It’s not weakness.
It’s certainly not ignoring reality.
Self-love is regulation. Self- love is actually non-negotiable.
When we meet ourselves with respect instead of criticism, the nervous system calms.
When the nervous system calms, digestion improves, hormones settle and pain softens.
When pain softens, our choices improve.
This is why people in a positive emotional feedback loop tend to achieve their health and wealth goals more consistently.
Not because life is easier for them, but because their habitual way of being supports them instead of undermining them.
Habits don’t just create results.
Identity creates habits.
Identity is shaped by repetition.
Where Magi Fits In
The remedy I gave Leslie is called Magi.
It was inspired by the ancient essences of gold, frankincense and myrrh substances long associated with strength, wisdom, grounding and nervous system support.
Magi isn’t about protection through hardness.
It’s about protection through coherence.
It helps people who feel deeply
Who give a lot
Who absorb more than they realise to stay connected to themselves while still being present in the world.
For Leslie, that shift changed everything.
The Ripple Effect
Once someone moves into a positive feedback loop, something interesting happens.
They stop coming back to “fix” problems.
They start coming back to expand.
This is something I see not only with pain and energy, but with weight too.
When people support themselves emotionally and energetically, rather than punishing themselves, weight releases more easily and stays off.
This is where remedies like Drop Weight Drops can be powerful allies, not as a standalone solution, but as part of a system that supports the whole person.
Because weight, pain and fatigue are rarely just physical problems.
They’re often signals that the body needs support, not pressure.
A Gentle Invitation
If you see yourself in Leslie’s story, if you’re sensitive, tired or feel like life hits you harder than it should, this may be your invitation to change the loop you’re living in.
You don’t need to fight your body.
You don’t need to override yourself.
Sometimes, in fact nearly always, the most powerful shift comes from choosing steadiness over struggle.
From there on, everything changes.
